For its 47th release, Da Heard It Records enters the fight.
Probably the fruit of long nocturnal wanderings through the never-ending confinement, “Ce soir je vais me coucher tard” (“Tonight I’m going to go to bed late”) looks a lot like a clandestine party in a warehouse with slimy reverberation.
Threaded like so many levels of an imaginary beat them all, these new compositions by Philippe Brown spin straightforwardly, hurling the claps like whiplashes and spilling out many toxic slicks in the path of unwary listeners.
As usual for him, the musician with 1001 projects (Raymond D Barre, Fourmi, René Couteau, his recent duo La Punta Bianca and a new label, Hygiène de Vie) hits where right in the right place: this band of mutant synthetic music deploys a singular universe ever present down to the mutant visual that ornate the sleeve of this mini-album.

Occasionally reminiscent of a Trauma movie atmosphere that one checks out between two government announcements, this cassette with industrial accents offers, in thirty minutes, the opportunity to go a little farther with a simple certificate - into the deviant melodies of a musician to follow.
